EXPERIENCE
FORMER ROLE
During my time as Assistant Principal for Student Programs and Operations at New Trier High School, I oversaw the district security team, district emergency response plans and systems, and student programs like career services, district financial assistance and angel fund programs, foreign exchange and international travel programs as well as scholarships for students. I partnered with teachers to support their professional growth by developing strong instructional strategies and learning practices. I also often participated on hiring committees to select highly qualified candidates for employment.​​​​
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
In my current role as President of the Elmhurst CUSD205 Board of Education, information, collaboration, communication, and feedback are key to the continuous improvement model that has been implemented throughout our district over the last 4 years. Managing discord and moving forward with the community and our students best interest in mind is the simplest way I can describe how I work through difficult and complicated situations. Within this process, key factors to making progress include open and honest dialogue, listening for understanding, and focusing on core values and goals.
We are fortunate to live in a highly engaged community that values education and supports our schools. Feedback from the community is critical component in continuing to improve student experience and outcomes.
